Beach Wedding on the Sunshine Coast
A beach wedding on the Sunshine Coast is a dream come true for many couples. The Sunshine Coast is beautiful. The beaches are clean and sandy and the water is usually clear and blue.
Standing on the Sand
If you like sand between your toes, you have a huge choice of beaches to choose from. From the Noosa North Shore to Bribie Island in the south, there’s sure to be a spot that’s perfect for your ceremony.
My absolute favourite place for a beach wedding on the Sunshine Coast is First Bay at Coolum. It’s a gorgeous, secluded little cove just over the headland from the main Coolum Beach. My next favourite is Marcoola. The beach is wide and sandy. It usually has far fewer beachgoers than Noosa, Maroochydore or Mooloolaba. Better yet, one of my favourite reception and accommodation choices for a beach wedding on the Sunshine Coast is at Marcoola. The Ramada Marcoola is definitely worth checking out because it usually has some wonderful wedding packages.
Some other locations you should look at are Main Beach at Noosa, Shelly Beach at Caloundra, Mudjimba Beach, Main Beach at Mooloolaba and both the surf and calm water beaches at Bribie Island. There are lots of other great beaches as well. They are all very different from each other, and all gorgeous spots for a beach wedding on the Sunshine Coast.
A Great Sea View
If you aren’t a fan of sandy feet but still want to have a beach wedding on the Sunshine Coast, there are tons of parks and lookouts with amazing sea views. Once again, my very favourite spots are at Coolum. The Coolum Boardwalk, the lookout on top of Point Perry (between Coolum’s Main Beach and First Bay) and the Dewar Street Lookout at Point Arkwright are all fabulous locations.
On the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Sunshine Beach have some wonderful foreshore parks. Many areas can be booked for (close to the) beach weddings. Contact the Noosa Shire Council to book these areas for your beach wedding on the Sunshine Coast. Some of the most popular (and most expensive to book) areas are along the Noosa Foreshore. Access is from Claude Batten Drive.
Further south, fabulous waterside parks and lookouts can be booked from the Sunshine Coast Council’s website. As well as Coolum, it’s worth checking out parks and lookouts at Caloundra and Alexandra Headland. Mooloolaba has some fabulous bookable areas in parks by the sea and along the Mooloolah River.
Contact the Moreton Bay Regional Council to book parks on Bribie Island. There are several nice grassy parks with good water views on Bribie, but my favourite is Sunset Park on the calm side of the island at Banksia Beach. The gardens are beautiful.
Whether you stand on the sand or just enjoy the sea view, you still need a celebrant for your wedding. I love beach weddings on the Sunshine Coast. CALL ME NOW.
