A Very Nice Surprise
Finding the perfect venue for a wedding on the Sunshine Coast isn’t always easy. Sometimes, it’s downright difficult to find exactly what you want and not blow the budget.
The Beerwah Hideaway at Beerwah in the Sunshine Coast hinterland wasn’t even on my radar until one of my lovely couples chose to have their wedding there. What a surprise I got…
The location of the Beerwah Hideaway is perfect and spectacular. It’s an easy drive from Brisbane, even closer to the Sunshine Coast, and at the foot of the dramatic Glasshouse Mountains. The Beerwah Hideaway is situated on Steve Irwin Way, just a stone’s throw from the famous Australia Zoo.
Your Wedding at Beerwah Hideaway
The property spreads over 2.5 hectares. It includes accommodation, a reception venue, a lawn that is perfect for ceremonies and lots of fabulous photo locations. The accommodation is sleek, modern and comfortable. Up to 14 people can stay in three suites and a family apartment. The package price includes rooms for the night of the wedding. There is ample free onsite parking.
The Rain Forest Room is a modern function space that is fully licensed and can cater for over a hundred guests. The massive windows and sliding glass doors opening onto a large wooden deck allow lots of natural light into the room. Whether you’re looking for a sit down meal, a buffet or a cocktail style reception, the Beerwah Hideaway caters for all styles of reception and offers a variety of decorating themes.
A lush green lawn and the outdoor chapel is adjacent to the Rain Forest Room. This space is perfect for weddings and easily accommodates 100 or more guests. A backdrop of rainforest behind the chapel drops down to a small creek. The creek area has some wonderful spots for photography – everything from natural vegetation to a small lake, a picturesque wooden bridge and a rustic shed. An undercover portico provides an alternative ceremony location for wet weather.
