Have Your Wedding at Caloundra
As a wedding celebrant on the Sunshine Coast I see lots of beautiful places to get married, but Caloundra is one of my very favourite locations for marriage ceremonies.
Don’t just sit there dreaming about a wedding at Caloundra. Grab your partner and check out the fabulous wedding locations. Then invite your nearest and dearest to celebrate your special day with you.
Caloundra ticks all the boxes for a great wedding
There are lots of fabulous locations for a wedding at Caloundra. Clear blue sky, clean white sand and brilliant blue ocean make surf beaches like Kings Beach, Moffat Beach and Dickey Beach great for larger weddings. Super-cute Shelly Beach is perfect for intimate ceremonies with a small number of guests . For peace and quiet, check out Golden Beach on the Pumicestone Passage.
There are also lots of gorgeous parks for weddings at Caloundra. Three of my favourites are Centaur Park and Anzac Park (both have amazing sea views) and Apex Park at Golden Beach. Apex Park is close to the popular Caloundra Power Boat Club. It has fabulous views of the calm water of the Pumicestone Passage.
After the ceremony, there are many beautiful spots nearby for photos. There are many options for your reception, from traditional reception venues to aplenty of pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes. If you want a relaxed and fuss-free party afterwards, the parks along the seafront have plenty of picnic tables, electric barbecues, children’s playgrounds and everything else you need to hold the perfect party.
Before your Caloundra Sunshine Coast wedding, you will need to complete an application form. It’s available on the Sunshine Coast Regional Council website. Approval takes up to 10 working days. There is a non-refundable application fee of $82.
