Elopement Wedding Ceremonies

Elopement Wedding

An elopement wedding

used to be an anti-wedding. Now, it’s the latest trend and is helping young couples have the romantic and intimate ceremony they crave, without the overhead costs that hang around on credit cards for years to come. Would you and your partner be interested in passing on a more traditional wedding and opting instead for a private, cosy and still loved-up union? I’ve helped bring the professional touch to couples throughout Queensland who want a steady hand to guide them through the legal aspects of an elopement, so they can focus on saving money and beginning a life together. I’d love to help you too!

An elopement ceremony can be performed almost anywhere and at any time. It involves trimming off all the unnecessary items from a regular wedding to focus the on what really matters – love!

Despite the simplicity, there is a short procedure to be followed to ensure your successful elopement.

Brisbane Wedding Celebrant Bronwyn SalehHow to make your elopement official

I will help you complete the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form, with a minimum of 30 days required between completing the NOIM and your wedding day (plenty of time to choose your honeymoon destination!). Next, once your date is set you’ll have a choice of elopement packages that best fit your budget and vision.

Before your NOIM is completed, I will meet with you to discuss your ceremony and sight your ID. From there it’s a simple matter for you to select two witnesses and enjoy the lead-up to your wedding day. I will look after all the legal paperwork, before and after your ceremony.

Let your love run wild

After a short ceremony, you and your partner, your two chosen witnesses and I will all sign marriage certificates and then it’s over with the elopement ceremony and on to whatever comes next! For some, an elopement is a chance to celebrate discretely before a reception with a wider audience, for others it is a launching pad to start a new life quietly together. Still others combine this with a DIY wedding to take care of the legalities at low cost before partying long into the night.

If you feel as though an elopement is the right choice for you, please reach out. I’d love to hear from you and to see how I can help!
