Parks and Gardens for Brisbane Weddings
Fabulous Parks and Gardens for Brisbane Weddings
In Autumn, Winter and Spring, Brisbane has the best weather in the world – brilliantly sunny and not too hot or too cold. Being outdoors on a beautiful day makes you feel glad to be alive. No wonder there are so many great parks and gardens for Brisbane weddings.
Popular Parks and Gardens for Brisbane Weddings
Brisbane has so many beautiful parks that are fabulous venues for weddings. The foreshores of Moreton Bay around Sandgate and Shornecliffe north of the Brisbane River provide spectacular settings for outdoor wedding ceremonies. Wynnum, Manly and Lota are just as photoworthy south of the river. Whether couples are celebrating with lots of guests or planning intimate elopement weddings, they are sure to find a perfect spot in a park or garden somewhere in Brisbane.
The park at J.C. Slaughter Falls at the base of Mt Coot-Tha is beautiful. So are the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-Tha and the City Botanic Gardens. The city gardens lie on the bank of the Brisbane River and have good public transport access. They are packed with sweeping lawns, intimate areas surrounded by clumps of palms and beautiful flower beds. The picturesque ponds teem with birdlife. You can find find peace and quiet in the gardens even on the busiest days. No wonder the gardens are so popular for ceremonies and an ideal place for wedding photos.
My Favourite Wedding Park
All these parks and gardens for Brisbane weddings are beautiful. However, my current pick for the best outdoor venue in Brisbane is the Roma Street Parkland. From waterfalls to gorgeous gardens to spacious green lawns, the Parklands offer something for everyone. There’s plenty of parking and great playgrounds and picnic areas. Best of all, they’re close to all the fabulous reception venues and restaurants of Brisbane City.
All of these parks and gardens have splendid, well maintained wedding areas that are definitely worth looking at if you are planning an outdoor ceremony in Brisbane. Bookings can be arranged by contacting by the Brisbane City Council.
Are you looking for a park for your wedding a little further south? Check out my blog Best Wedding Parks in Logan. If you’re worried that the weather might not be perfect, you might find some ideas in Rain on Your Wedding Day.
