Gold Coast Weddings
Gold Coast Weddings are always fabulous. The Gold Coast offers so many options for ceremony and reception locations, the most difficult choice you will face is deciding which of these fantastic spots is the perfect place for you.
If your dream wedding location is a stretch of white sand beside the cool green ocean, a Gold Coast wedding will make your dreams come true. From cute and secluded spots like Froggy’s Beach at Rainbow Bay on the southern end of the glitter strip to the wide sandy spaces of Broadbeach, Palm Beach and Currumbin, there’s definitely a beach location that will be perfect for you.
Weddings in Parks
If you want to see the ocean, but don’t want to get married on the sand, there are many parks near the sea suitable for Gold Coast weddings. The Gold Coast City Council has many bookable areas close to the beach with grassy lawns and glorious sea views that are ideal for weddings but be warned, they’re very popular. Book early so you don’t miss out on your dream location. John Laws Park by the beach at Burleigh Heads is always popular, but it’s worth taking a drive along the coast to find more super ceremony spots.
Surf Club Weddings
There are lots of good reasons to get married at a surf lifesaving club. Most have function rooms with event coordinators to ensure your day runs smoothly. You can get married on the beach or sometimes in a nearby park and the clubs can always provide an alternative, indoor location for your ceremony in wet weather. But the best thing about a surf club wedding is that the sea view is always amazing. Almost all the surf clubs have great packages for Gold Coast weddings. Check out the newly rebuilt club at Kurrawa Beach SLSC and one of my favourite Gold Coast wedding venues, the Pacific SLSC at Palm Beach. This beautifully refurbished clubhouse is now a dedicated wedding venue offering a grassy ceremony area facing the beach as well as a wonderful reception venue for partying the night away.
Resort and Venue Weddings
From the beach to country, there are all kinds of venues for Gold Coast weddings. Whether you prefer the beach or want mountain views, you will find a venue on or near the Gold Coast to suit your taste and budget. For great value with breathtaking coastal views, check out the Kirra Hill Cultural and Community Centre at Coolangatta. If country weddings are more your style, there are many options available just over the border in northern New South Wales. If you like the idea of a getting married in a wedding chapel and having your reception on the same property, Coolibah Downs Private Estate at Mt Nathan near Nerang might be what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for peace, quiet and lovely gardens at an affordable price, Sol in the Currumbin Valley and EcoStudio Fellini at Mudgeeraba are definitely worth a look.
Golf Course Weddings
Many golf courses on the Gold Coast host weddings. Parkwood is always a super popular Gold Coast golf course wedding venue, but the Surfers Paradise Golf Club at Broadbeach, Lakelands Golf Club at Merrimac and Emerald Lakes Golf Club at Carrara are good value for money. The Boomerang Farm Golf Course at Mudgeeraba has a wonderful rainforest ceremony area and a rustic barn for your reception.
You need a celebrant to get married. I have conducted lots of Gold Coast weddings, so call me now!
