There are so many good reasons to choose an Indooroopilly Golf Club wedding. The Indooroopilly Golf Club is a fabulous wedding venue.
Great Location
The club is located in Brisbane’s leafy western suburbs. It is nestled in a bend of the beautiful Brisbane River only 11km by car from the city centre. The Indooroopilly area has several popular wedding venues. As well as the Indooroopilly Golf Club, it’s home to both Hillstone St Lucia and Boulevard Gardens.
Fabulous Ceremony Area
On of the nicest things about an Indooroopilly Golf Club wedding is the beautiful ceremony area. Most couples getting married at the club choose to have their ceremony in the garden ceremony area just outside the clubhouse. The smooth green lawn is a great place for a ceremony and the view across the golf course is impressive. However, the most impressive part of the ceremony area the gorgeous poinciana tree shading part of the lawn. The poinciana is also a wonderful spot for photos.
If the weather isn’t great on your wedding day, the club staff will move your ceremony inside. It’s far less stressful than having to relocate your ceremony if your wedding is on a beach or in a park.
Great Photo Spots
Wedding photos are important and there are plenty of great photo locations for an Indooroopilly Golf Club Wedding. Golf carts to transport the bridal party and photographer to the best photo spots are provided as part of the wedding packages at the club. There are lots of photo-worthy locations, but one of my favourites is the huge fig tree in the grounds. In Spring, the purple-flowering jacaranda trees are breathtaking and look wonderful in wedding photos.
Lots of Reception Choices
The Indooroopilly Golf Club has two rooms that are perfect for wedding receptions. The Fairways Room can accomodate from 30 to 110 guests. The larger Terrace Room can hold up to 200 guests. Both rooms have panoramic views across the golf course to the Brisbane skyline in the distance. They have audio systems installed and the Terrace Room has a dance floor built in. A portable dance floor is available for the Fairways Room.
There are plenty of food options available. From cocktails and canapés to a delicious sit-down feast, there are food and beverage choices to suit all tastes and budgets.
