Sunshine Coast Surf Club Wedding
There are lots of good reasons to choose a Sunshine Coast surf club wedding. The Sunshine Coast is beautiful. It has miles of white sandy beaches and great weather most of the year. It’s a short drive north of Brisbane. The Sunshine Coast Airport at Marcoola makes getting to your wedding a breeze for interstate visitors and guests from New Zealand because the airport offers seasonal flights from Auckland as well as year round flights to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Forget About the Weather
Although the weather is usually lovely, a Sunshine Coast surf club wedding means that you can forget about wind and rain. In good weather, you can get married on the beach or in a nearby park. If the weather is less than perfect, most clubs usually provide an alternative, indoor location for your ceremony.
Most surf clubs have function rooms with event coordinators so your day runs smoothly and well trained staff who are always happy to help.
It’s All About the View
I think that the very best thing about a Sunshine Coast surf club wedding is that the sea view is always amazing. Huge beach-facing windows give a great view of sand and sea in the daytime. At night, you can watch the lights come on along the coast and see the lights of ships on the dark ocean.
You’re lucky if the moon is full on your wedding day. Watching the moonrise over the ocean is totally romantic and never to be forgotten.
Great Value Packages
There are some great packages for Sunshine Coast surf club weddings. Check out Mooloolaba SLSC, Alexandra Headland SLSC and the newly rebuilt Sunshine Beach SLSC. I have checked these clubs out personally and their function rooms, views and food are great.
Maroochy Surf Club has won Best Venue awards in the past and is definitely worth a look too. The Dicky Beach Surf Club at Caloundra has some good value sit down and cocktail style reception packages as does the Marcoola Surf Club.
Beautiful location, excellent function venue… now call me to chat about a celebrant for your dream wedding.
