Sunshine Coast Weddings
Sunshine Coast weddings are always fabulous. The Sunshine Coast offers many options for ceremony and reception locations. Deciding which of these fantastic spots is the perfect place for you might be a problem.
If your dream wedding location is a stretch of white sand beside the cool green ocean, a Sunshine Coast wedding makes your dreams come true. From popular spots like Main Beach at Noosa or Shelly Beach at Caloundra to the wide sandy spaces of Marcoola and Mudjimba and the rustic Noosa North Shore, there’s definitely a beach location that will be perfect for you. For some handy tips for the perfect beach wedding, check out my Beach Wedding blog.
Weddings in Parks
If you want to see the ocean, but don’t want a ceremony on the sand, there are many parks near the sea suitable for Sunshine Coast weddings. The dedicated wedding areas along the seafront at Claude Batten Drive at Noosa Heads have grassy lawns, shady trees and glorious sea views. Be warned, they’re very popular. Book early so you don’t miss out on your dream location. Maroochydore Rotary Park on the Esplanade at Maroochydore is also a great place for a Sunshine Coast wedding, but take a drive along the coast to find more super ceremony spots.
Surf Club Weddings
There are lots of good reasons to get married at a surf lifesaving club. Most have function rooms with event coordinators, ensuring your day runs smoothly. You can get married on the beach or sometimes in a nearby park. If the weather is less than perfect, the clubs usually provide an alternative, indoor location for your ceremony. But the best thing about a surf club wedding is that the sea view is always amazing. Almost all the surf clubs have great packages for Sunshine Coast weddings. Check out Mooloolaba SLSC, Alexandra Headland SLSC and the newly rebuilt Sunshine Beach SLSC.
Resort and Venue Weddings
From the beach to the rustic, there are all kinds of venues for all types of Sunshine Coast weddings. Whether you want to be close to the beach or want mountain views, there will definitely be a venue on or near the Sunshine Coast to suit your taste and budget. There are too many places to list them all, but if you want to be near the beach, have a look at Surfair at Marcoola and Twin Waters at Mudjimba. If country weddings are more your style, The Rocks at Yandina or Yandina Station might be what you’re looking for. The Noosa North Shore Retreat has a dedicated ceremony area and has reasonably priced reception and accommodation options. For peace, quiet and lovely gardens at an affordable price, definitely have a look at the Beerwah Hideaway.
