Why Have Your Wedding at Brookwater
A wedding at Brookwater has lots of advantages. Brookwater is a pleasant modern suburb on the eastern edge of Ipswich. It has parks, schools, shops and the Brookwater Golf and Country Club. The club is a fabulous spot for weddings. It’s a great venue for couples living in Ipswich or Brisbane’s western suburbs.
A Beautiful Ceremony Area
The ceremony area for a wedding at Brookwater is a wide green lawn fringed by trees. It is right beside the modern clubhouse/ restaurant building. It’s close to the carpark so guests and the bridal party don’t have too far to walk, but screened from the carpark by trees and shrubs.
In my opinion, the best thing about the ceremony area is the Bridal Deck. This wooden platform is slightly above ground level and ensures that all guests have a great view of the ceremony.
The wet weather option is quite nice. On wet days the ceremony is usually set up in one end of the function room. Large windows admit lots of natural light and there is a view of the ceremony lawn.
The downside is that there isn’t much shade in the ceremony area and it gets quite hot in the summer. A water station is a must for a wedding at Brookwater and it’s a good idea to remind your guests about sunscreen.
The function rooms for a wedding at Brookwater are sleek and modern. They can accommodate intimate celebrations but can also hold 180 people for a sit down meal and 300 for a cocktail style reception.
Brookwater offers a variety of wedding packages and some very tasty menu choices. There is a wedding coordinator onsite who can advise couples about menus, theming and entertainment options. The coordinator is always present on the day of the wedding at Brookwater to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
There are lots of fantastic photo spots for your wedding at Brookwater. The gardens are manicured and the natural setting is great for photography.
Transport and Accommodation
There is no onsite accommodation at Brookwater; however the Springfield Lakes Hotel and Quest Springfield Central apartments are a short Uber ride away for guests who want to stay nearby. Springfield also has a railway station for anyone wanting to travel back to Brisbane on public transport.
I have celebrated several weddings at Brookwater and I think it’s a great venue. CALL ME NOW to have a chat about creating a great ceremony for you and your partner.
