Weddings at Noosa
Noosa is one of Australia’s premier holiday destinations and weddings at Noosa are extremely popular. Couples from all around Queensland, interstate and overseas flock to Noosa to tie the knot.
Position, Position, Position
There are plenty of reasons to have weddings at Noosa. First of all, it’s in a fabulous location. Noosa is about two hours north of Brisbane by car. It’s close to the Sunshine Coast Airport and there are flights to and from major Australian cities every day. This means that guests can get there easily. Noosa has lots of accommodation for all budgets from modest motels and comfortable B&Bs to opulent apartments with beachfront views.
Beautiful Beaches and Great Gardens
Noosa has some of the best beaches in the world. These sandy stretches are ideal spots for beach weddings at Noosa. Ceremonies are often conducted on the main beach outside the patrolled area. Even better, there are beautiful grassy ceremony areas with fabulous sea views off Claude Batten Drive at the end of Hastings Street, the main beachfront shopping street. Shrubs and trees divide the ceremony areas from each other and ensure privacy. The ceremony areas can be booked from the Noosa Shire Council website. There is plenty of parking available near the ceremony areas.
The ceremony areas are close to lots of premium accommodation. For weddings at Noosa, it’s possible to get ready close by and walk to your ceremony. There are several companies in the area that will set up chairs and arbours on the beach or in the beachfront ceremony areas and pack everything down later.
Another great option for weddings at Noosa is the Botanic Gardens. The Gardens are actually near Cooroy, but they’re eight hectares of gorgeous greenery and well worth a look for anyone planning weddings at Noosa. Ceremony sites in the gardens can be booked from the Noosa Shire Council website.
Choosing a reception venue is always important, and Noosa has plenty to choose from. Hastings Street is lined with restaurants, many of which are available for wedding receptions. The Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club is a few minutes’ drive from Noosa. The recently rebuilt surf club has million dollar views and fabulous affordable wedding packages.
If you love river views, there are many excellent restaurants close to Noosa along the Noosa River. In my opinion, these are three of the best:
- Pier 11 is a venue at the Noosa Marina offering both ceremony and reception in one location. It can accommodate up to 150 guests. Free parking in the Marina carpark is a bonus
- Noosa Waterfront Restaurant is a riverfront venue with a ceremony area in front that can be booked from the Noosa Shire Council website. The restaurant fits 120 for a sit down meal or 150 for a cocktail reception
- The Noosa Boathouse is a floating restaurant with three separate levels. Each level can be booked for weddings at Noosa. The Noosa Boathouse caters for weddings of all sizes. The private jetty allows couples and their guests to arrive by boat from the ceremony location
A wedding at Noosa is a great choice, so make another great choice and CALL ME NOW. I’m a celebrant who loves weddings at Noosa as much as you do.
