Wedding at Spring Hill

There are plenty of good reasons to hold your wedding at Spring Hill. First of all, Spring Hill is central. It’s just outside the Brisbane CBD so there is a wide choice of venues available. There is plenty of public transport close by. It’s a short walk to bus stops and railway stations and it’s easy to find a taxi most of the time.

This might seem obvious, but Spring Hill is on a hill. This means that most venues for a wedding there are in great locations with fabulous views.

Wonderful Ceremony Locations

If you’re planning to have just the reception of your wedding at Spring Hill, there are plenty of options nearby for your ceremony. Consider the Botanic Gardens and Roma Street Parkland in the city, Captain Burke Park under the Storey Bridge at Kangaroo Point, Newstead Park at Newstead and New Farm Park.  If a church or a chapel is more your style, there are several iconic churches in the Brisbane CBD. Cute chapels like the Broadway Chapel at Woolloongabba and the High Church in Fortitude Valley are also close by. Roma Street Parkland is also a great place for those all-important wedding photos.

Venues in Spring Hill

In no particular order, here are a few of my favourite venues for a wedding at Spring Hill. Most of them have fabulous packages available for ceremony and reception, reception only or accommodation.

• Ovolo Inchcolm. This 1920s hotel has been restored and is probably more spectacular now than ever before. Great food, beautiful surroundings, tastefully decorated bedrooms and a convenient location at the base of Wickham Terrace – what more could you ask for
• Pacific Hotel. With breathtaking views, five different sizes of function room and restaurant quality meals, the Pacific Hotel is definitely worth look when you’re planning a wedding at Spring Hill
• Victoria Park. This gorgeous garden venue features six wedding spaces, ranging from a grand ballroom to a marquee with some of Brisbane’s best city views. It can accommodate intimate celebrations right through to weddings with over 350 guests. Victoria Park has won multiple “Best Wedding Venue in Brisbane” awards in recent years
